Rosa Kumar began writing for publications at the University of Toronto where she studied English Literature, History, and a cheeky Minor in Renaissance Studies. Her main focus was The Strand, where in addition to being a staff writer, she was their Editor of Photography. After graduating, things slowed down as Rosa learned to put on her big girl boots, but her interest was reawakened after successfully pitching to Lonely Planet whilst living and working in London.

Though Rosa does not advertise herself as a photographer, she enjoys toting around her camera to capture her travels and her Irish, red-haired fiancé. When writing travel pieces, she appreciates using her own photos to reflect her experiences more intimately.

Rosa works full-time in marketing, runs two book clubs, and has travelled to 41 countries (and counting). She is a regular contributor to Brown History, Taste Toronto, and Lonely Planet. Rosa is also a passionate cook and balcony gardener, and loves to host sparkling dinner parties where she lectures her friends on the endless benefits reaped from reading fantasy novels.

Rosa is currently seeking representation for her novel, Table for One.
